Community Development

Community Development is a process of collaborative planning on Social and Community issues at the local level and incorporates all types of activities that have an impact on community wellbeing.

Shoalhaven City Council values and respects all groups and cultures while promoting a co-operative approach to addressing the needs of our community. Through better understanding of community needs, there will be improved facilities for both young and old to benefit.

The Community Grants Program enables community groups and organisations to design, implement and complete projects that support and enhance the lives of residents of the Shoalhaven.

Its function is to provide information to service deliverers, carers and consumers on relevant issues.
