Effectiveness, motivations, and operations of volunteer Bushcare groups in the Shoalhaven: Implications for sustaining community biodiveristy management (PDF 2 mb)
Shoalhaven City Council has supported community restoration within the Local Government Area for over 20 years.  There are up to 58 groups with 750 volunteers in Bushcare.  This project aims to provide information to Shoalhaven City Council about the difference community volunteer work has made to biodiversity, threatened flora and fauna and endangered communites by assessing the impact on behaviour, knowledge and the perceived value of biodiversity of those actively working on sites in the Shoalhaven area.
