Are you thinking of using the footpath outside your business for extra cafe tables or for a display?

All commercial use of public footpaths (within the road reserve) in the Shoalhaven requires:

1. Development consent under the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, unless the use is exempted under the State Government’s Codes SEPP (new window) (or Council’s Development Control Plan 89 until 1 September 2011); and 
2. Appropriate licences under the Roads Act 1993, the Local Government Act 1993 or the Liquor Act 1997 (from the NSW Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority (CLGCA) if alcohol is being served for alfresco/ outdoor dining).
