A development application may be needed

An event may require a development application to be submitted and approved by Council. The following activities generally require approval:
  • Fireworks
  • Animals
  • Circus
  • Retail / commercial activity
  • Markets
  • Road closure or street parade
  • Loud noise eg rock concert, helicopters etc
  • Stages, large marquees or large temporary structures
  • Any activity which contravenes the zoning of the land
  • More than 200 attendees
A number of Council and external bodies may be involved in the approval process, so the development application must be prepared well ahead of time. Allow 3 months for Council approval.
