Asset management
Council is the custodian of community assets valued at over $2 billion. 

Asset management is the practice of providing the greatest benefits from these assets in the most cost effective manner.

The Asset Management Strategy details how the Asset Management Policy (PDF 233 kb) will be implemented and how Asset Management practices can be improved.

Asset management activities Include:
  • Life cycle costing
  • Assessment of asset acquisition, replacement and rehabilitation
  • Development of maintenance policies and procedures
  • Assisting with requirements analysis for the acquisition of asset management information systems
  • Developing asset condition assessment policies and procedures
  • Analysis of asset condition data to determine and schedule asset replacement and rehabilitation
Asset management plans
For different asset classes, asset management plans contain:
  • levels of service
  • future demand for assets
  • 'life cycle' management
  • long term financial implications
