Drug information
drug info @ your library provides up to date information about alcohol and drugs and is a joint initiative of NSW Health and the State Library of NSW. It provides our libraries with books, pamphlets and resource materials, which are selected and regularly updated by specialist staff. The collections and website have a specific focus on parents and carers of young people and secondary and TAFE students.  It provides easy to read information on:

  • commonly used drugs such as cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, party drugs, heroin, inhalants,steroids and tobacco
  • non-medical use of prescribed drugs 
  • current issues such as drugs in sport
  • drugs and the law 
  • drugs and mental health 
  • alcohol, alcohol guidelines and how to cope with problem drinking  
  • personal narratives and biographies 
  • where to go for help and support  
drug info @ your library (new window) provides up-to-date information and links to drug and alcohol information in over 30 community languages.
