Jessica Green, Library Assistant - Children & Youth

I like that Council; Shoalhaven Libraries in particular, is focused on serving the community and making a difference. The best thing about working in the Library is the broad range of tasks, including customer service, programs and events and technical services. My work allows me to interact with all ages, especially I enjoy working with children and young people – the people you meet are always entertaining. Council offers me job security and the room to develop with plenty of training and professional development opportunities.

Coralie McCarthy, Marketing Coordinator - Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre

I am passionate about live music in regional areas and was excited when the opportunity came up with the Entertainment Centre. Working for local government means I have the opportunity to be part of something bigger; there is a united purpose to serve our community and make a real difference. It’s great being able to work alongside people who inspire and challenge me every day.

Craig Horgan, Northern Parks Supervisor

As a Parks Supervisor, I am responsible for the maintenance and presentation of parks and reserves in the northern Shoalhaven. My work directly benefits, and is appreciated by, the general public. Council offers me a comprehensive training regime to enhance my career development. Working in local government has provided me with challenges that I couldn't get in the private sector. Overcoming these challenges can be very rewarding, personally and as part of my team.

Clarinda Campbell, Legal Services Coordinator

I like working for Council as it has a flexible and supportive working environment. My position as Legal Services Coordinator allows me to deal with a variety of people and issues across the organisation. Working across sections in Council means that each day is different and therefore never boring!

Troy Punnett, Southern Construction Engineer

I am responsible for the delivery of civil engineering projects for southern Shoalhaven, these include road works, footpaths, cycle ways, kerbs and gutters (to name a few). After spending holidays growing up in Ulladulla it was easy to move here after University. Council offered me the best working conditions in the area and it is a great employer, especially when raising a family. Planning and delivering construction is never boring and I have a great team that helps make my job pleasurable and rewarding.
