
Shoalhaven City Council is committed to providing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) of all persons employed or engaged by Council.
Providing a safe workplace is one of Council’s key corporate objectives. Resources are allocated to ensure compliance with the OHS Act and Regulations, and to ensure the workplace is safe and the risk to health and safety is eliminated or minimised.
Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Council is committed to implementing and maintaining a comprehensive OHS System and a process of continual improvement will be applied to ensure the system remains at an effective level of operation with a view to eliminating work related injury and illness.
Shoalhaven City Council is bound by the following legislative requirements:
- Occupational Health and Safety Act (2000)
- Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (2001)
