Local legends are being called on to carry the Queen’s Baton in the Shoalhaven as it prepares to host the Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR).

Heavy rain is forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) over the next few days. The BOM also forecast the potential for a low pressure system to develop off the southern or central coast on Friday or Saturday causing large swells. There is the potential for flooding in coastal areas.

Shoalhaven City Council and the Nowra Show Society are inviting the community to get involved with the showground and share any ideas about the use of the Nowra Showground in the future.
An Ideas Day at Nowra Showground will be held at Nowra Showground Pavilion on Sunday, 26 February from 11 am to 1 pm.
The community will be able to provide feedback on a range of topics including general use, events and facilities at the Showground which can be used by locals as well as visitors.
