Community assets contribute to a quality of lifestyle and are important to our community. The social, environmental and economic benefits can be high, particularly where facilities and activitiy opportunities are safe, appealing and accessible.
Strategic planning and master planning documents are developed as a tool to provide future direction to the provision, development, management and maintenance of community social assets, such as playgrounds, walking tracks, sportsgrounds, skateparks etc.
The model for recreation and community space and facility provision has changed, influenced by the changing needs of the community, the environment and the implementation of best practice standards.
The following links are Councils adopted documents that assist in the delivery of these assets to the community. To view just click on the link. If you require further information contact the Recreation and Community Facilities Planning Unit on (02) 4429 3111.
