Planning & Development

Our goal is to protect and enhance our natural and developed environment and to preserve our quality of life for future generations. We do this by using appropriate development and planning controls.

From 1 January 2021, we require lodgement of all Development Applications (DAs) and Complying Development Certificates (CDCs) to be via the NSW Planning Portal. A complete list of applications for certifications that can now only be lodged with the NSW Planning Portal is available on our Development Application Forms page. This change is in line with the NSW Government's plan for all Councils to participate in their ePlanning platform for application lodgement.

Council's prelodgement requirements for Development Applications can be viewed using the DA Matrix.

Duty Building & Planner Enquiries

Duty Building enquiries can be made for simple developments, such as setbacks for development, controls relating to dwellings, pools, car ports, and the like. Planning enquiries are typically for more complex matters and developments such as residential flat buildings, seeking alternative solutions concerning Development Control Plan requirements or legislation.

For Duty Building and Duty Planner enquiries please phone 1300 293 111.
