Keeping Cats Safe at Home

Shoalhaven City Council and nine other local councils have partnered with RSPCA NSW on the Keeping Cats Safe at Home project set to be delivered over the next four years.

About the project

The participating councils include: Blue Mountains City Council, Byron Shire Council, Campbelltown City Council, City of Parramatta Council, Hornsby Shire Council, Northern Beaches Council, Shoalhaven City Council, Tweed Shire and Kyogle Councils, Walgett Shire Council and Weddin Shire Council. 

The project has received funding of $2.5 million from the NSW Environmental Trust's Major Projects Prospectus.

This project has been assisted by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust.  RSPCA NSW is a community-based, not for profit, animal welfare charity that protects, cares for, treats and rehomes animals across New South Wales.

We love cats and hate to see them get hurt, which is why we’ve been working hard over the last few years to keep cats safe from harm through our project Keeping Cats Safe at Home.

Trauma is the leading cause of death for cats. But it is possible to change this shocking reality and keep our beloved companions safe.
