Murramarang Road Shared User Path - Section 2

Construction of a 2.0m wide Shared User Path (SUP) along the eastern side of Murramarang Rd. The proposed path will extend the existing SUP (which currently terminates at the Racecourse Beach Holiday Park) for 840m until the Shelly Beach access carpark.

About the project

Section 2 - Tasman Holiday Parks Racecourse Beach to Shelly Beach Access Carpark

Council has gained NSW Government funding to complete this section of path as part of the election commitment to support active transport in the Shoalhaven region.

Note: This section of path has been pegged out on site using white pegs with pink ribbons. This indicates the approximate center of the proposed path for the purpose of tendering. 

History

  • November 2024 Update - Construction has commenced with site establishment, survey set-out and service locating. Tree clearing and grubbing scheduled for 25/11/24.
  • October 2024 Update - Construction to commence early November.
  • September 2024 Update - The construction contract has been awarded.
  • July 2024 Update - Construction tenders are due in by 15 August 2024.
  • June 2024 Update - Tender documents are being prepared. Tender is expected to be released in July 2024.
