Murramarang Road Shared User Path - Section 3

Construction of a 2.0m wide Shared User Path (SUP) along the eastern side of Murramarang Rd. The proposed path will extend the existing SUP (which currently terminates at the O'Brien St intersection in Kioloa) for 1.1km until the Shelly Beach access carpark.

About the project

Section 3 - Shelly Beach Access Carpark to O’Brien St Intersection

Council has gained NSW Government funding to complete this section of path as part of the election commitment to support active transport in the Shoalhaven region.

Note: This section of path currently has a preliminary design only. Council's technical services department is finalising the design for construction. Construction is expected to take place in February 2025. 

History

  • November 2024 Update - Tender submissions due in Thursday 5 December 2024.
  • October 2024 Update - Project to be tendered in November 2024.
  • September 2024 Update - Finalisation of design continuing. Expect to tender this section of the path late October 2024.
  • July 2024 Update - Finalisation of design continuing.
  • June 2024 Update - Finalisation of the design has commenced with additional survey carried out for the shorter community chosen route at the Kioloa end.
