The Nowra Showground Pavilion has undergone significant restoration, completed in November 2023 in time for the 150th Nowra Show. The project included painting the main pavilion, removing lead paint from window sills, applying salt extraction treatment, installing a damp proof course, and painting adjacent committee rooms, roofs, and lower oval retaining wall. New external lighting was installed.

Nowra Showground Pavilion Painting & Restoration was completed ahead of 150th Nowra Show

The Nowra Showground Pavilion has undergone a significant restoration, completed in November 2023, just in time for the 150th Nowra Show. The project included painting the main pavilion, removing lead paint from window sills, applying salt extraction treatment, installing a damp proof course, and painting adjacent committee rooms, roofs, and the lower oval retaining wall. New external lighting was also installed.

Pro-Asset Painting, the contractors responsible for the refurbishment, received four prestigious awards at the 2024 Master Painters Awards, including Regional Commercial Project of the Year and Iconic Building and Structures Project of the Year.

The restoration ensures the Pavilion’s functionality and heritage significance, aligning with the Nowra Showground Conservation Management Plan. The project was funded by the Council’s General Fund budget for 2023/2024.

This rejuvenation marks a proud moment for the community, celebrating the pavilion’s legacy and future.
