Thurgate Oval Dog Park Upgrade

Council recently confirmed funding from the LSCA260 grant round to upgrade the dog park at Thurgate Oval in Bomaderry. We are currently in the initial stages of the project and hoping to start construction next month.

About the project

Thurgate Oval Dog Park in Bomaderry, also known locally as the ‘Bomo Dog Bowl’ is in the process of being upgraded. Funding was received through the NSW Government Local Small Commitments Allocation (LSCA) Program to improve facilities. Proposed upgrades include a second fenced off-leash area for dogs, as well as watering stations for dogs and their owners. Preliminary works are underway, with soil testing being currently being conducted. Construction is proposed to begin in March 2025, with an estimated completion date in mid-2025.
