Geotechnical advice has been sought in establishing a long term solution, given the site constraints that include numerous underground services, flat terrain and a variable water table this has been an extensive process to achieve a practical and appropriate solution.

The design solution has been established and Manildra are now in the process of organizing a contractor to undertake the repair.

About the works

A portion of works associated with the Shoalhaven Starches Gas Pipeline Project included a pipe crossing of Bolong Road, Bomaderry. Unfortunately, this crossing has seen settlement of surrounding road pavement and subsequent deterioration of subgrade. Temporary controls have been placed including road plates, water barriers and speed reduction to make safe for road users and control further damage.
