Bowen & Currambene Street - Huskisson - New Roundabout

15/05/2024 - The rectification work has been delayed due to inclement weather but has resumed today. It is expected works will now be completed by the end of next week, weather permitting.

24/04/2024 - From 29 April the contractor will be undertaking rectification of minor defect works on the intersection. Work is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting. During this time the site will be under traffic control and drivers are urged to drive carefully.

Below:  Roundabout and road repair works nearing completion

• 10/01/2024 - Work on the Bowen and Currambene Streets intersection has been completed on schedule and Council thanks you for your patience during this time.

• 14/11/2023 - The road pavement work has been completed with line marking still to be scheduled, subject to weather conditions. The intersection is now open to traffic and Council appreciates your patience during the works.

• 31/10/2023 - Asphalt work between Hawke and Currambene Streets is now complete. Pavement work on the roundabout is complete, with asphalt work expected to be completed tomorrow, weather permitting.

• 27/10/2023 - The project is on schedule with completion of the roundabout, drainage and kerb and gutter. Work on the footpath and road pavement is currently underway with asphalt work expected to begin next week, weather permitting.

• 08/09/2023 - Work has commenced. The Bowen St/Currambene St intersection will now be closed to traffic, in addition to Bowen Street between Hawke and Currambene Streets.

• 01/09/2023 - Work will commence 5 September 2023 and is expected to take approximately 3 months, weather permitting. During this time Bowen Street will be closed to traffic between Hawke and Currambene Streets.
