Providing a child safe environment

Council is committed to providing a child safe environment where children feel safe and their voices are heard. We support the empowerment and participation of children within Council and the broader community.

The Child Safe Strategy and Child Safe Framework proposes to strengthen the safety of children in the community and drive compliance with the National Principals for Child Safe Organisations and the NSW Child Safe Standards.

Child Safe Strategy

The strategy will help to drive the development of a child safe culture and build safeguarding capacity across Council, services and activities.

Child Safe Framework

The framework demonstrates Council’s strong commitment to child safety and identifies the key elements for preventing, recognising, responding to and reporting of child safety report or concerns.
