Council partners with volunteers to help preserve and improve our local environment in areas of natural beauty, primarily on Council-managed land.
The program includes other ‘Care’ groups, such as Dunecare.

Everyone is welcome to participate in Bushcare. You can join an existing group or start your own group for a new area.
If you are unable to get ‘hands-on’, you can register to receive Council’s ‘Bushcare Links’ email newsletter.
Each group develops an action plan which outlines the area and activities.

Landcare is a community-based volunteer movement that facilitates and coordinates actions to care for our environment. Bushcare (Council-managed land) and Landcare work side-by-side.
‘Wildlife Rescue South Coast’ is a 100% volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of Australian Native Fauna.
Birdlife Shoalhaven promotes a better understanding or our regions birds.
