Composting workshop

Find out how easy it is to successfully transform household organic wastes into quality compost, a valuable plant food that improves all aspects of soil health.

This workshop explains the principles of composting and provides you with the necessary skills to create, maintain, troubleshoot and use compost.

This 3 hour workshop is suitable for all, from beginners to accomplished composters and will comprise of both indoor and outdoor sessions.

You are welcome to bring along some scraps or other suitable items to contribute to the compost heap.

At the completion of the workshop, you will be given a validated 'Compost Coupon' which entitles your household to receive, at no charge, one compost bin.

Households that compost, significantly reduce the amount of waste that goes into their red lid bin. Not only is less waste going to landfill, but also composting households may be able to reduce the size of their red lid bin. (Saving money!)
