Christmas Giving Box

Christmas Giving Box

Mayor Amanda Findley has launched her annual Mayor’s Christmas Giving Box at Stockland Nowra. The Christmas Appeal invites the community to donate Christmas gifts as an act of kindness to charities in the Shoalhaven.

Mayor Findley is encouraging the community to join the Christmas spirit by donating presents to people less fortunate in the giving box located outside Kmart or at Council administration buildings.

Please wrap the gift and mark if the gift is for a male or female and the approximate age bracket that the gift is for. Gifts can be for all age brackets.

Gifts can be left at Stockland Nowra in the Mayor’s Gift Box near Santa Claus or at Council administration buildings in Nowra and Ulladulla, libraries or the Shoalhaven Art Centre.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to help another person this Christmas who needs some cheer. I encourage all families to get involved and donate a gift to the appeal. Christmas is a time of reflecting on how fortunate we are, the sharing of good memories, appreciating others and the joy of giving. Please join me in helping make the festive season special for others in our community.”

“During this time of year, many people are experiencing financial stress and through the Giving Box you are helping many members of the family cope with Christmas.”

Charities that will be supported include Salt Ministries, Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, Boori Preschool and Clipper Road Child Care Centre.  A special thank you to Stockland Nowra for their support.  Gifts needed by 20 December 2018.
