Council has commissioned Ross Planning, Recreation Planning Specialists, to undertake a review of existing recreational, sporting and community facilities in the Shoalhaven and to produce a Community Infrastructure Strategic Plan (CISP) for the whole of the Shoalhaven.
The CISP will make recommendations for the future provision, priorities and funding of community infrastructure at local, district and regional levels.
The project has eight distinct stages, two critical stages being: a comprehensive audit of Council's community facilities and; intensive community and stakeholder engagement, to ensure that all community groups will have the opportunity to have their opinions and aspirations heard. The agreed project timeframe provides for completion of the project at the end of June 2015, following a community and stakeholder review of the draft Plan. The project follows the flow chart below and is currently at Stage Four - Community Infrastructure Audit.
