EOC Update - Police Enforcing Highway Speed Limits
Police are reminding the community and visitors that the Princes Highway is currently operating at a speed limit of 80km from north of Jervis Bay Road to Warra Warra Rd.   It is important for those travelling on the highway to obey the speed limits and follow the directions of Police and Transport NSW. Cleaning Residential Solar Panels Under Water Restrictions
Shoalhaven City Council is currently under Level 1 Water Restrictions with residents being encouraged to make every drop count. Under the restrictions the hosing down of hard surfaces is banned and an individual can receive a penalty notice.  However, considering the current situation with the fires Shoalhaven Water is temporarily relaxing this requirement to permit pressure washing of solar panels to ensure they remain operational. Road Closures and Evac Centres Update
22 December 2019, 5.45pm SHOALHAVEN EVACUATION CENTRES CLOSED Evacuation Centres at Bomaderry Bowling Club, St Georges Basin Country Club and Ulladulla Civic Centre have been stood down as of 5.00pm 22 December. Current accommodation for displaced residents remains in place in formal accommodation facilities. 21 December 2019, 1.30pm The Princes Highway is closed from Bendalong Rd North through to Bewong. This includes the closure of roads that connect with the highway, including Sussex Inlet Rd. This closure is due to the potential spotting of the fire ahead of the fire front and the ability to respond should this occur. Bendalong Rd remains open to traffic to move in an out of Bendalong however only for movement in a southerly direction (towards Ulladulla). Turpentine Rd is also closed....

Shoalhaven City Council has waived tipping fees for a family who was recently devasted by a house fire earlier this month in Shoalhaven Heads.    Shoalhaven Mayor Amanda Findley and her fellow Councillors supported the Mayoral Minute on Tuesday. 26 November 2019 to waive approximately $10,000 in waste services charges. Youth Art Project Highlights Community Values

Council Staff  Giving Back to the Community
Shoalhaven City Council Staff are coming together every Friday to give back to the Community. Council holds Casual for a Cause once a week, where staff can give a contribution towards a local charity. The initiative has been very successful with staff already donating $22, 565.
