Shoalhaven City Council is inviting the community to a series of Special Rate Variation Information Sessions designed to provide more accurate information about how your rates work to maintain our City. Hear firsthand rates information direct from Senior Council staff.
Meetings will be held from 7.00pm to 9.00pm on:
Monday, 13 March – Ulladulla Civic Centre, Princes Highway, Ulladulla
Wednesday, 15 March – Sussex Inlet Community Centre, Thomson Street Facilities, Upper Hall, Sussex Inlet
Monday, 20 March – Culburra Beach Community Centre, Waratah Hall, Culburra Road, Culburra
Wednesday, 22 March – Wandandian Hall, D2683 Princes Highway, Wandandian
Monday, 27 March – Nowra City Administration Centre, Seven Mile Room, Bridge Road Nowra
The information sessions will explain the facts on why a rate rise is needed; how additional rates will be spent to benefit the community across our City; actions taken and planned to cut expenditure; how the rate rise increase was calculated and; what other options would be available for our City to be financially sustainable.
The information session will also cover how our City rates compare with other like sized Councils; what consultation and research was undertaken and; the independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal process.
