Shoalhaven City Council is encouraging drivers to take advantage of the ‘Free Cuppa for the Driver’ program in their travels across NSW this Easter School Holidays.
Shoalhaven City Council Road Saftey Officer Kym Snow said she is proud the region is part of the scheme that has been operational since March and encourages drivers to stop and take a break with a free coffee.
“We all know the Driver Reviver stops throughout the state however this program is linked with Shoalhaven Businesses who offer a free cup of coffee or tea to drivers who have travelled more than 100 kilometres from home,” Ms Snow said.
“Two Shoalhaven businesses have raised their hand to join the campaign with the Tabourie Tuckerbox and Uptown Patisserie in Ulladulla participating.
“While this is the first time the Shoalhaven has participated in the campaign the program has been operating in other local government areas for more than nine years.
“Since 2010 more than 11,000 free cuppas in 236 cities, towns and villages have been given out in the state.”
Residents and NSW Travellers can visit http://freecuppa.com.au/search-by-highway/ to search for a free cuppa.
