Mayor's Giving Box Appeal Launched

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley has launched her annual Mayor’s Christmas Giving Box Appeal at Stockland Nowra. 

The Mayor’s Giving Box which encourages shoppers to donate to those less fortunate than themselves to provide some much-needed Christmas cheer.

“While Christmas is a special time in the Shoalhaven, there are always families who will have a tough time over the holiday season,” said Clr Findley.

“By donating to the Mayor’s Giving Box appeal in Stockland Nowra you will give children who will otherwise miss out on a present received a special gift when they wake Christmas morning.

“Please wrap the gift and mark if the gift is for a male or female and the approximate age bracket that the gift is for. Gifts can be for all age brackets.

“Charities that will be supported this year include Salt Ministries, Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, Boori Preschool and Clipper Road Child Care Centre.  A special thank you to Stockland Nowra for their support.

Penelope-Ann Sullivan from Stockland Nowra is encouraging Christmas Shoppers to join Shoalhaven’s Mayor in the making the festive season special for others in the community.

Penelope-Ann Sullivan, Centre Manager at Stockland Nowra said: “At Stockland Nowra, we believe that Christmas is a time when everyone should come together, spend time with loved ones and help spread the joy of the season. As with previous years, we are strong supporters of the Mayor’s Giving Box appeal and would like to encourage our customers to ‘Give a little Christmas’ and show their support for these fantastic charities.”
