Asset management

Council is the custodian of assets valued at $4.2 Billion with a written down value of $2.83 Billion based on their condition. Details are available in Councils Annual Financial Statements.

Asset management is the practice of providing the greatest benefits from these assets in the most cost effective manner.
The Asset Management Strategy details how the Asset Management Policy will be implemented and how Asset Management practices can be improved.

Asset Management is a requirement of the Resourcing Strategy which is part of Council’s Integrated Strategic Planning.

  • Asset condition assessments
  • Asset maintenance and management systems
  • Strategic planning capabilities
  • Predictive modelling
  • Deterioration modelling
