Shoalhaven City Council is advising motorists of an update to the Archgate Bridge works, nearing completion on Culburra Road.

Both lanes on Culburra Road are now open to traffic and work on the approaches, guard railing, line marking, and signage is scheduled for November. Timing of the works is subject to weather and construction conditions.

The temporary speed limit of 40km/h will remain until approximately one week after the final sealing works is completed (mid-November) to allow the fresh bitumen and stone to set properly. Once the seal has properly set the speed limit will be returned to 80km/h.

Motorists are asked to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.

Note that where road work speed limit signs or traffic controls are displayed or used, the speed limit and controls are enforceable and must be obeyed.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during construction and thanks road users for their patience during the works.
