CEO proposes new structure

A proposed restructure of the Council’s organisation has been put forward by the CEO, Robyn Stevens for consultation with staff, to achieve a high performing and efficient operation.
The draft structure has been developed by the incoming CEO to consolidate and streamline the various and necessary functions of the organisation and establish clear lines of communication to improve service delivery.
“The structure has been informed by conversations and input from staff, councillors and community representatives who have provided me with valuable feedback on how the organisation is working,” Ms Stevens said.
“At this point we’re asking staff for feedback on the proposal which will be refined and finalised with the new elected-Council when they are appointed,” she said.
Under the proposal, some positions would be disestablished from various departments in the organisation and the vast majority of these are currently vacant under the recruitment review process. None of these are outdoor workers. Annual savings would be in the order of $1.3 million.
