Hidden away in the Kings Point bushland is the mighty Ulladulla Wastewater Treatment Plant, taking our dirty water and delivering it back to the environment.

For the very first time, the plant is being opened to the public so that residents can see how the wastewater from local houses and businesses is collected, treated and then sent to water the local football fields.

Mayor Patricia White said that some locals would not know that the humble entry off Kings Point Road leads to the plant.

“Avid bushwalkers might have stumbled across the Ulladulla Wastewater Treatment Plant but for the most part it’s out-of-sight, out-of-mind,” Cr White said.

“Bring the family or come solo, the tour promises to open your eyes to the important job of managing our wastewater in our beautiful region.”

Tickets are free, but bookings are essential as each tour is limited to 30 people. There are also $50 gift vouchers from local businesses which will be drawn at the end of each tour.

The open day is on Saturday 29 March so book now via this link
