Shoalhaven City Council is encouraging residents big and small to get involved in this year’s Bike Week events. Shoalhaven City hosts two NSW Bike Week events every year with the support of NSW Transport, this year events will be held in Huskisson and Burrill Lake.

The Shoalhaven has many scenic cycle paths and mountain bike trails to suit all ages and abilities. Mayor Amanda Findley hopes the events will re-ignite residents love for cycling and exploring the region.

“Bike Week is a fantastic initiative to encourage families to cycle together for transport, fun and to work towards a healthier lifestyle, whilst enjoying scenic cycling opportunities our region has to offer.” Mayor Amanda Findley said.

“Events such as these showcase our region and give residents an opportunity to re-discover their home by finding cycle ways and mountain bike tracks, they might not have known about prior.

“Our Bike Week events are open to all ages and levels and are greatly supported by local community bicycle groups.” Clr Findley said.

NSW Bike Week will be held from 21-29 September with each event also including a BBQ lunch.
