Easter Long Weekend Council Closures

Shoalhaven City Council will have limited services and facilities operating this Easter weekend. 

Council’s Easter Weekend services will include: 

Ranger services (phone 4421 3100 to report a dog attack or other urgent issue) 

Cleaning of public amenities. 

Updates online in the case of an emergency (please check our website or social media feeds) 

Shoalhaven Animal Shelter – Reclaims 9am to 11am on Public Holidays – Adoptions 9am to 11am by only appointment only.  

Our animals are fed and exercised daily. Link to Facebook page. Owners will be able to reclaim animals from the shelter. Payments need to be made over the phone 44293410 and animals can be picked up from our overnight kennels to minimise customer contact with our staff. We have strict social distancing guidelines and visitors need to adhere to these. 

Easter Monday 8am - 5pm only - Waste and Recycling facilities at West Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla 

This is for essential waste only. Not essential waste is not a health hazard including green waste, building waste, recyclables etc. 

Kerbside Collections will continue as usual. Residents are reminded to put their bins out the night before as collection times may differ. Deliveries for replacement bins and repairs will also be conducted as normal.

Easter Long Weekend Closures 

  • All Waste and Recycling facilities are closed Easter Friday to Sunday 

Only West Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla reopen on Easter Monday from 8am to 5pm. 

  • Ulladulla Civic Centre’s Recovery Centre and ‘The Café’s takeaway service 
  • Nowra and Ulladulla Customer Service  
  • Nowra Aquatic Park Splash Cafe takeaway service 
  • Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre’s ‘Encore Café’ takeaway service 

  

Ongoing Closures 

Until further notice, as directed by Federal Government restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19

  • Public playgrounds, outdoor gyms and skate parks (please do not enter taped off areas) 
  • Shoalhaven Swim, Sport and Fitness facilities including sea pools, village pools and gyms 
  • Libraries - Shoalhaven Libraries’ online services explained here. 
  • Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre 
  • Shoalhaven Regional Gallery & Arts Centre (closed for renovation until June) 
  • Council’s public community buildings at showgrounds, sporting facilities, public halls and community centres 
  • Nowra and Ulladulla Administration Buildings 
  • Small Recycling and Waste Depots and all Buyback Centres - Click here for information 
  • Camping grounds at Berry, Nowra and Milton Showgrounds are closed to leisure visitors until further notice. Camping is only permitted for people who would otherwise be without a permanent residence.
