Hand Sanitiser For Shoalhaven Essential Services

Shoalhaven City Council’s Economic Development Manager, Greg Pullen has been instrumental in ensuring many local essential services have had adequate access to hand sanitiser.
Local company, Manildra, has been able to supply large quantities of ethanol into the sanitiser market during this unprecedented time. The company received numerous enquiries from local schools, Ambulance, Police, Fire, Councils, Aged care, Medical professionals and Pharmacies. Many of whom Manildra were able to supply free of charge.
The company have now moved into production of hand sanitizer and have made 1000 litre quantities available to a network of distributors at Bomaderry, Unanderra and soon to be Moruya and Kogarah in Southern Sydney. Government agencies, Non for Profits, the health sector and other essential services anre utilizing this distribution network to maintain operations and employment.
Initially Economic Development Manager, Greg Pullen identified local businesses that were struggling to find hand sanitiser and connected them to the distributors of the Manildra Group product at Bomaderry Bowling Club. Following this Mr. Pullen has approached the Flagstaff Group at Unanderra and Yumaro at Moruya to be distributors and is now working on seeing a similar service available in the southern Highlands and southern Sydney area.
