Shoalhaven residents are invited to help the most vulnerable members of our community this Christmas, as we launch the Mayor’s Giving Box.

For more than 20 years the annual campaign has been donating presents and funds to local charities and preschools to make sure no one misses out at this special time.

“We know this year has been particularly tough for families and individuals across the community, so I urge you, if you can, to spare even a small donation to help those who are most in need,” said Shoalhaven Mayor Patricia White.

“I am always humbled by the generosity of our community and hope we can band together this Christmas to ensure no child goes without,” she said.

This year the beneficiaries include Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, Lyrebird Preschool, Wayeela Preschool, Clipper Road Children's Centre, Nowra East Public School and Salt Ministries.

More than 1000 gifts were distributed to families last year thanks to the generosity of Shoalhaven residents and businesses.

A substantial donation from Manildra Group has already provided a welcome boost this year and will go a long way to help bring joy to families doing it tough this Christmas.

There are two easy ways to donate:

  1. Drop an unwrapped present at the Giving Box at one of the below locations:
  • Ulladulla Civic Centre
  • Sussex Neighbourhood Centre
  • Home Co Vincentia
  • Nowra Administration Building
  • Nowra Centre Plaza

   2. Make an online donation on the fundraising platform Give Now.

The Mayor’s Giving Box will be accepting donations until Tuesday 24 December.
