New amenities block for Shoalhaven Heads

Shoalhaven Heads has a new public amenities building at Jerry Bailey Oval Reserve featuring two unisex accessible facilities.
Jerry Bailey Oval Reserve is a popular recreational location for residents and visitors due to the learn to ride track, pump track, skate park and dog off leash area.
Fully funded by Council, the $465,000 cost for the project has come from the Capital Works program.
The amenities building is brand new and consists of two unisex accessible rooms, connection pathway, accessible carparking space, bubbler, bike rack and seat.
Shoalhaven City Mayor Amanda Findley said she is pleased the new facilities at Jerry Bailey Oval Reserve are now operational and being appreciated by locals and visitors alike.
“When it comes to public amenities, Council must build infrastructure that is really robust, highly accessible, safe and can cope with being used by hundreds of people every day. The improvements of recent years at Jerry Baily Oval, like the pump track, have seen visitation numbers wonderfully increase,” Cr Findley said.
“This new toilet amenity will add convenience for family’s wishing to make a day of it whilst enjoying their outdoor fun and picnics,” she said.
The Jerry Bailey Oval Reserve amenities building is a community driven project supported by the Shoalhaven Heads Community Forum.
Update as of 4.30pm, Monday 6 March 2023: Council delivers facilities in alignment with Australian codes and standards and uses industrial materials that are resilient to ongoing wear and tear from public use, varying weather conditions and antisocial activity. This requires significant investment from council. This initial outlay results in an enduring asset that will serve the community for years to come.
