Night closure on Hampden Bridge at Kangaroo Valley

Motorists are advised of an upcoming closure on Hampden Bridge for maintenance work.
Hampden Bridge, Kangaroo Valley will be closed in both directions for four nights on Sunday 30 August to Wednesday 2 September, between 7pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Work includes replacing two major timber beams.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the closure with delays of about 10 minutes. Pedestrians will be escorted across the bridge by workers.
Buses will be available to transport people to their homes or businesses located within Kangaroo Valley, between 5pm and 7pm and from 5am to 6am.
Detours for light and heavy vehicles will be via the Illawarra Highway, Macquarie Pass and Princes Highway which are expected to add about 80 minutes to journeys.
