Our Coast-Shoalhaven Council wants to hear from you!

As part of the coast and estuary scoping study council is holding community information drop-in sessions to get feedback on Shoalhaven’s Coastal Management.
The aim of these info sessions is to let us know what you value most about our coast and estuaries, how you want to see them managed and how you want to be involved.
What is a Scoping Study?
A scoping study is Stage 1 of the process in preparing a Coastal Management Plan (CMP). The purpose is to:
- Identify local priority management issues;
- Review the performance of existing management;
- Identify information gaps; and
- Identify how consultation and engagement should take place during preparation of a CMP.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley, said “It is important that Council hears from the community about what they value and how they would like our coast and estuaries managed for now and the future.”
Guided by the NSW Coastal Management Manual, Stage One of the CMP process will involve a Scoping Study Drop-in sessions being held from 5pm to 7pm at the following locations:
Ulladulla Civic Centre Tuesday 24 September 2019
St Georges Basin Community Centre Wednesday 25 September 2019
Nowra Showground Pavilion Thursday 26 September 2019
Lake Conjola Community Centre Tuesday 1 October 2019
Sussex Inlet Community Centre Wednesday 2 October 2019
Shoalhaven Heads Community Centre Thursday 3 October 2019
Council invites community input to help kick off Stage One of this process.
