Share your thoughts on Lady Denman Reserve management

The community is invited to have their say on the proposed draft Plan of Management (PoM) for Lady Denman Reserve, located in Huskisson.
The foreshore reserve is a tourist destination in Huskisson, home to the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum, tourist information centre and the Jervis Bay Mangrove Boardwalk.
"This is a valued place in our community, and I encourage people who live or visit Huskisson to share their opinions on how we should manage it to conserve its cultural and environmental aspects and activate it as a community space into the future," said Mayor Amanda Findley.
Improvements outlined in the Lady Denman Reserve Draft Plan of Management include:
- increase visitation numbers and events
- improve programming of events and promotions to maximise the use of the community buildings
- increase community awareness of the available spaces for use in the reserve, permitted activities, programming of activities and signage
- encourage volunteer groups to contribute to the maintenance regime, planting, and infrastructure provision of the reserve
- manage water movements across the reserve with the consideration for rehabilitation and opening of the fishpond.
For more information, visit Draft Plan of Management for Lady Denman Reserve website and contribute before Sunday 29 October 2023.
