The Shoalhaven Coastal Management Programs (CMP) aims to achieve the objectives of the Coastal Management Act 2016 and sets the long-term strategy for the coordinated management of Shoalhaven’s coastal zone. Under this legislation, Council is required to prepare a CMP for the estuaries and sections of the open coast managed by Council.

There will be opportunities for community involvement through all stages of the process to identify key threatening processes, incorporate community preferences and criteria, share information and ideas and actively involve the community in monitoring and reviewing of the CMP implementation. Find out more by searching Coastal Management Program in councils search bar.

A city-wide Scoping Study is currently being prepared. This is the first stage in preparation of the CMP. For further information and updates on the scoping study, search Coastal Management Program- Scoping Study in councils search bar.
