Ulladulla Leisure Centre to remain open on Sundays

The Ulladulla Leisure Centre will remain open on Sundays between April and September following a decision by Council at Tuesday night’s meeting.  

The proposal to close the heated pool on Sundays was in response to a resolution of Council in January 2024 to take action to improve financial sustainability. The operating hours of more than 20 facilities and services in the Shoalhaven were reduced as part of the ongoing work to address Council’s financial position. 

At the meeting on 15 April, Councillors took into consideration a petition signed by more than 706 residents, the patronage and popularity of the pool, the health and wellbeing benefits, and the cost to keep the centre open. 

The closure of Ulladulla Leisure Centre (excluding 24-7 access gym) on Sundays was due to begin after the Easter school holidays. The centre will now remain open on Sundays from 8am - 12pm. Opening hours can be found on the Swim Sport Fitness website.
