Mayoral Relief Fund

Mayor Amanda Findley opened the Mayoral Relief Fund on 4 December 2019 in response to the Shoalhaven bushfires.

About the project

Council has established a Committee to make sure the payments go to individuals and trades people who have been directly impacted and need it the most.

You may be eligible if you are:

  • a full-time resident in the Shoalhaven (including renters), and whose home, infrastructure or outbuildings have been damaged or destroyed
  • a tradesperson, including apprentices, who have had vehicles, equipment, or tools damaged or destroyed

Applying for assistance

If you were directly impacted by these bushfires, and who are in immediate need of financial assistance, you can apply for a payment from the Mayor's Relief Fund by:

  • submitting an online application form below
  • completing the relevant application form and sending the completed form to council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au
  • completing the relevant application form and sending the completed form by mail to:
