Moss Vale Road Urban Release Area - Water Infrastructure

Package 1 involved the extension of the existing Cambewarra water main network along Main Road and Moss Vale Road, to the Moss Vale Road URA.

Progress so far

• Package 1 works completed in 2021.

Package 2 involved the construction of a new upgraded water pumping station.

Progress so far

• Package 2 works were placed in operation April 2024.
• A separate landscaping package of works will be undertaken by Council at a later date.

Package 3 involves the construction of new rising mains connecting the Cambewarra, Badagarang and Bomaderry water networks.

Progress so far

• Watermains have now been installed within Cambewarra Village along Reservoir Lane, Faulks Place, Main Rd & Hockeys Lane with testing of these watermains continuing, with most lines now passing their associated pressure testing.
• A fault has been detected within a section of the main installed at the intersection of Main Rd / Goorama Dr. Initial investigations of the fault appears to indicate that the damage to the main could be malicious and Council is working with our Contractors to further investigate, resolve and make good.
• Watermains have now been installed within Badagarang along Moss Vale Road between Lancaster Drive and Bannada Way with testing of these watermains continuing.
• Works to rectify the defective pipeline along Main road are now complete. The roads affected by the works are now reinstated and all road networks within Cambewarra are now returned to pre-construction conditions.

Upcoming works

• Remaining watermain to be installed between Bannada Way Badagarang and 25 Moss Vale Road Bomaderry
• Affected areas within the road reserve are continuing to be reinstate back to pre-construction conditions.

Package 4 involved the construction of a new 3.5ML water reservoir on the existing Cambewarra Reservoir Site at Reservoir Lane.

• Package 4 works were placed into operation July 2024.
