Lodge a submission on a DA

If you consider that you may be affected by a proposed development, you can make a submission in support or objection of the application.

You can view plans and lodge submissions on DAs through Council's eProperty platform.

Important information

  • your submission must be received by Council before 5:00pm (close of business) of the day the notification about the application ends
  • you cannot combine names on submissions – e.g. John & Mary Smith. If multiple people in your household want to lodge a submission they will need to each complete a submission separately
  • the submission character limit is 1000 characters - you can upload additional information as an attachment if required
  • submissions are displayed publicly on DA Tracker - please do not include any email addresses, phone numbers, derogatory statements, medical/health information, signatures, or any other content that you would feel uncomfortable displaying to the general public

Steps to lodge

Before you start

Step 1.Disclose any financial interests

If you or any associated persons with a financial interest in the development application you are making a submission for have made any political donation or given any gifts to any local Councillor or Council employee in the last two (2) years, you will need to complete the Political Donations and Gifts Disclosure form and attach it to your submission.

If you haven't made any donations or gifts to Councillors or council employees, you do not need to complete this form.
