The East Nowra Skills Development Grant provides grants up to $10,000 every second year to promote training and employment opportunities for the East Nowra community through the support of the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group.
If you are a:
- Local community organisation
- Local service provider
And your service or organisation:
- Is located in East Nowra area
- Offers employment or training to increase individual and community capacity
You may be eligible for the East Nowra Skills Development Grant.
Eligibility criteria
What applications are eligible?
Funding is available to community organisations and local service providers in the East Nowra area for employment and training purposes.
Funding applications should demonstrate a community need for the program and program sustainability, with a focus on increasing individual and community capacity.
What applications are NOT eligible?
Grants cannot be used for:
- Events and activities that are not new, or have been held before Thursday, 19 December 2024
- Initiatives that duplicate existing activities and services
- Activities that are better suited to other grant programs
- Activities that are difficult to link to the grant program purpose: to provide employment and training opportunities for residents of the East Nowra community
- Initiatives that are likely to depend on future funding
- Purchase of food or beverages
- Provision of funds for prizes or to purchase prizes or gratuities
- Projects that subsidise commercial activities and business-as-usual expenses
Important information
- Applications received after the closing date will not be eligible for consideration
- Applications will not be assessed without a fully completed application form and the required supporting documentation
How to apply
To apply for the East Nowra Skills Development Grant, review the grants guidelines and submit the application form. Applications are also available from Council’s Nowra Administration Centre or by phoning 1300 293 111.
What happens next?
Upon closure of the application period, the following process will occur:
- Applications will be assessed by council’s Community Grants Program Assessment Panel
- All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application from Monday, 9 December 2024
