The purpose of the Local Heritage Assistance Fund grants program is to provide small grants for local heritage sites, buildings and items, to improve the quality of the city's heritage.
Council continues its commitment to local heritage by supporting grants offered by Heritage NSW. This allows council to run an annual Local Heritage Assistance Fund to provide grants of up to $5,000 for a wide range of small heritage projects including general maintenance, adaptive reuse, or sympathetic alterations/additions in the spirit of the original design.
This grants program is intended to assist owners in undertaking new, minor conservation work and maintenance which, without the financial assistance of the grant, may not be able to occur.
